Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.
Beechnut Cottage has a solid, yet airy feel to the cottage. High vaulted ceilings add to the sense of space. Exposed stone and whitewash walls creates a feel of natural luxury together with the superior crafted ironwork and hardwood fixtures and furniture.
The cottage has a Mediterranean feel to it, partly due to the Andalusian terracotta roof tiles but also from features such as the Moroccan styled bathroom with walk in power shower. A truly invigorating way to start your day!
The entrance to the cottage is below the disused dovecote, a weighty wooden door with wrought iron features and sliding peep hole beckons you in. This leads through to the lobby area, the bedroom to the right has cupboards and draws either side of the bed with a ledge with bedside lights. The view from the bed through the stone mullioned arched windows looks out onto the animal field where often you’ll see our sheep and goats grazing.
To the right of the lobby a medieval style wooden door leads through a narrow stone passageway with two steps to the right is the Moroccan styled bathroom and another couple of steps leads you down to the living room and kitchen area which is open plan and has exposed beams.

Heath Farm offers a wealth of natural interest in all seasons. All the conservation work that has been done since the late 70’s certainly seems to suit the wildlife as we regularly see around 50 bird species, and have even had nightingales. It provides habitats for species that we never saw in the past, such as buzzards and red kites which are now commonplace. The woodlands and wildflower meadows are host to rabbits, hares, badgers, squirrels, roe deer and muntjac. In summer, wild cherry plums grow in abundance and in autumn, nut bushes galore provide rich pickings for wildlife and visitors alike. We have bird books and lists in the cottages for guests to try and spot any new species. Tree identifier signs are dotted around the farm. See if you can find them all!
