Country Idyll are so proud to present Hammonds Farm and Breakfast in the beautiful Stroud Valley.

A new, luxury country Bed & Breakfast with sweeping views over the beautiful Stroud valleys. Freshly baked biscuits on arrival. Located near the pretty Cotswold market town of Stroud, Hammonds Farm is nestled in 100 acres of grassy farmland, resident to a large herd of alpacas, small flocks of Cotswold and Zwartbles sheep and the two much-loved horses Betty and her foal Waffle.

The newly renovated farmhouse sits within landscaped gardens featuring pear and espalier apple trees, as well as a patio with one of the best views in the area to complement evening drinks at sundown. Gin optional.

Your hosts Bea and Harry are passionate about their home and your stay in the beautiful Cotswolds. and are on hand to help you with all your requirements during your Cotswold stay.

Please note that this bed and breakfast is not suitable for children under the age of 12 or dogs.

Hammonds Farm Rooms

Our bedrooms are spacious and have the most stunning dual aspect views of rolling green valleys. A world away from city life, and easily accessible from the M4 and M5 with ample parking. Stroud railway station is only a ten-minute taxi ride away, with hourly trains from London, Birmingham and Cardiff.

We have individually designed rooms within our farmhouse – Old Spot, Long Horn, Cotswold , Sebright & Clydesdale. The Old Spot, Cotswold & Sebright bedrooms have luxury wet rooms. Longhorn has a quality ensuite shower room, while Clydesdale has a bathroom with a large bath, with a shower over it. All our bathrooms have floor to ceiling marble tiles, large rainfall shower heads (as well as the traditional hand held option), superb LED lit mirrors with built in de-misters, lovely underfloor heating and quality complimentary toiletries.

Room Tariffs

Each room is suitable for 2 guests and our Old Spot bedroom has the option of a sofa bed (a small additional fee) – ideal for a third guest in that room. Prices for our rooms are from £126 inc VAT per night including breakfast (10% discount for single occupancy).

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in our farmhouse breakfast room, Choose from a full English, with black pudding from Cumbria, bacon from Wiltshire and locally made Sourdough toast, or go Continental with freshly baked croissants an locally made jam. 

Breakfast is served with unlimited tea and freshly made coffee, plus a selection of fruit juices and drinks. If you do have any specific dietary needs or special requests, these can be catered for also – just let us know.

Sitting Room and Dining Room
  • Guests are welcome to use the sitting room and dining/living room at any time.
  • In addition to our beautiful, individually furnished bedrooms, we have a lovely light, sunny breakfast room for our guests to enjoy.

Alpaca Walking

Our alpaca walks will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays, starting at 11.00am and lasting around 60 minutes. The maximum number of alpacas being walked at the same time will be limited to 8.  The prices for our alpaca walking is £25.00 per alpaca walker (or £36.00 for two people sharing one alpaca). 

For a group of five or more friends/relatives wanting to walk the alpacas, we we are able to arrange a walk at a time that suits you.If you need help or more information, please call Bea on 07733 101137

Getting Here

Less than two hours by train from London, Birmingham and Cardiff, Hammonds Farm is nestled in a green valley just outside the pretty Cotswold market town of Stroud. We’re only 10 minutes off the M5 and 20 minutes from the M4, and have ample free parking.

If you would like written directions to the farm, just give us a call to let us know where you’re coming from and we’ll send them right over.

If you’re planning a day walking or cycling why not order a packed lunch from Hammonds Farm B&B to fuel you up for the day? 

We have an area in our cellar to help our guests dry walking / cycling gear, so please feel free to hand over your soggy belongings so we can dry them ready for the next adventure. Storage for bicycles is also available upon request. There is a boot scraper in the porch. An outside tap is on the wall to the left of the steps to wash muddy boots and bicycles. 

We are 2 miles walk from the Cotswold way. Please let us know if you would like directions. There are also numerous walks direct from the farm, please just ask for details.
