Use of your Information
At times, we may use the personal information you provide us for the purposes of understanding the use of our site, or to promote any of our offers to you in the form of an email. If you do not want to receive these solicitations from us using your personally identifiable information, please notify us. At times, we may conduct online surveys to better understand the needs and profiles of our visitors. When we conduct a survey, we will try to let you know how we will use the information at the time we collect the information from you on the Internet.
Any images, logos and names on this web site which identify Country Idyll or third parties and their products, homes and services are the property of Country Idyll or the relevant third parties.
Changes to Terms and Records of Agreements
We reserve the right to change our terms and conditions at any time and it is your responsibility to check and keep yourself up to date of all changes made.
All property bookings will only be confirmed upon the receipt of your initial deposit, a percentage of the total stay rate by Country Idyll along with and any concierge fees. If your booking is made within six weeks of the commencement date of your stay then the full balance will be required at the time of booking.
Confirmation of Booking
Once you have received your booking confirmation from Country Idyll either via post or email, you are responsible for the total price of the property along with any extras shown on your confirmation, the guest is also responsible for checking all details, dates and concierge requirements on their confirmation and alert Country Idyll straight away of any error or discrepancies, failure to do so will result in the guest being responsible for all charges as shown on the booking confirmation.
Non-availability of Property
If for any reason the property is not available on the date booked, or the property for any reason is deemed unsuitable for holiday letting, Country Idyll will aim to find a suitable alternative within our portfolio, if for any reason we are unable to relocate, all rent and charges paid in advance by the guest will be refunded in full, but the guest shall have no further claim against that property owner or Country Idyll.
We cannot accept numbers that exceed the maximum persons stated on the website as the properties maximum capacity under any circumstances. If you intend to use the property or its grounds for the use of a party or social gathering or function, Country Idyll must be informed at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in additional charges and loss of security deposit. Country Idyll reserve the right to refuse admittance or eject guests if these conditions are not observed. Country Idyll and the owners reserve the right to refuse bookings if, in their opinion, this condition will be violated. In certain instances, and where specified within the property description, a property may offer the use of an extra bed, sofa bed or cot, these will incur an extra bed/person charge and must be added to your reservation at the time of booking. Extra charges may incur if you wish to bring a pet and is only available on properties where stated on the booking website.
You hereby agree that you are responsible for the property and expected to take all reasonable care of it during your stay. All equipment and utensils must be left clean, replaced in their original location, and the property must be left tidy at the end of the hire period. Pets should not be left unattended in the property at any time, and should not be allowed to climb or sit on furniture, any breach of these conditions may incur additional charges.
Unless prior authorisation has been given, we do not allow photo shoots or permit filming at any of our properties for any purpose which may include, film productions, advertising, promotion, marketing and packaging for any product, service or commercial project. This includes the use of the property as a base for shooting stills, video or film in the wider area. In the event of this taking place you may be liable to prosecution and any extra costs incurred including production, location fees and the retention of the security deposit. Please note that some of our properties will allow the above for a location fee, but this is strictly by prior arrangement.
If you have any accessibility requirements, please let our staff know at the time of booking so they can advise you on suitable properties.
Satellite Television, Internet and Mobile Phones
If a property has satellite television this will be indicated in the property details, but the number of channels available will depend upon the subscription taken out by the owner. Please also note that some rural locations do not have effective mobile phone or Wi-Fi coverage. If this is important to you please ask at the time of booking – Country Idyll are not liable for loss of business due to poor internet or mobile phone coverage in the property.
Disclosures of your Information
Unless otherwise disclosed during the collection, personally identifiable information that may be collected in connection with visitors to our site is retained by Country Idyll, we do not sell, transfer or otherwise disclose this personally identifiable information outside this company, except where disclosure is required by law.
Country Idyll has taken great care sourcing the content on our website and in the preparation of information, images, names and logos. However certain links may lead you to websites that are not under our control unless otherwise stated. Country Idyll is a totally separate company to those we are recommending on our pages and we accept no responsibility for the information or claims made by these third parties. Once you activate links to our advertisers you are leaving the Country Idyll web site and as such will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of the material on any such other website.
Product Terms and Conditions
If you purchase any product on our website, you are subject to all our terms and booking conditions. Please ensure you read and adhere to all our terms and conditions at the time of your booking.
Your booking balance will be due for payment six weeks before your arrival date. Country Idyll reserve the right to cancel your booking should you fail to complete the balance 6 weeks prior to the arrival date. Any initial deposits paid for your booking prior to the six weeks is non-refundable, please note that Country Idyll offer a deposit protection option at the time of booking.
Cancellations made before 6 weeks prior to your arrival date will not incur any further charges other than your non-refundable deposit already paid, cancellations made after 6 weeks prior to your arrival date are liable for full payment unless Country Idyll are able to re-let the period booked.
The use of accommodation and amenities, where offered, such as swimming pools, tennis courts, ponds, gardens or fishing lakes, is entirely at the user’s risk, and no responsibility can be accepted for death, injury or for loss or damage to guests or their belongings.
Loud music is not permitted between 11pm and 9am within the grounds of the rental property (unless otherwise stated). Country Idyll reserve the right to eject guests should this condition not be observed and Country Idyll will not be liable to make any refund of the remaining balance of the hire terms paid.
All damages, breakages and moving of furniture are the legal responsibility of the guest and their party. Any damages or breakages must be reported to Country Idyll before the end of the booking period. While minor damage or breakages will not normally be charged, we do reserve the right to charge disrespectful guests for extra cleaning, breakage or damage and may refuse any future bookings. Country Idyll will take a security deposit 1 week prior to check in, this deposit will then be refunded to the guest upon a satisfactory check out with no breakages or damages reported, normally within 1 week of departure however please be aware that the refund can take up to 30 days to appear on your statement. Security deposits vary on length of stay and each property. This deposit amount will be confirmed with the guest prior to any bookings made. Further funds may be debited from your account in the event of theft, breakages, damages or excessive cleaning at the property or complaints of any nature that incur a cost to the landlord. If you are unable to provide card details we will request the full amount of the security deposit to be paid by bank transfer or cash. Any charges incurred in refunding deposits to overseas or UK accounts will be passed on to you. Country Idyll reserves the right to repossess the property at any time, where the guest or any member of the guests party has caused damage or has displayed disruptive or inappropriate behaviour that disturbs the surrounding neighbours. Country Idyll shall not be liable to make a refund of any remaining proportion of the hire terms paid. Please note that all properties are NON SMOKING within the building, some properties may allow smoking outside the building, this will be made clear on your booking and within your welcome pack in the property. If Country Idyll find that guests have ignored this, additional cleaning charges may be incurred. Country Idyll will try to ensure all properties are non-smoking as stated above, however we cannot be held responsible for guests’ behaviour at or within the property.
Access and Parking
If car parking is limited we will indicate this on our website where possible. If you have any queries regarding parking or access to the property please do not hesitate to ask a member of our team.
Both the owner and Country Idyll will have no liability for any death or personal injury unless this results from the negligence of Country Idyll or the property owner. In addition, the owner accepts no responsibility for the safety of, or the loss or damage to the guest’s possessions whilst on the owner’s property. Country Idyll cannot accept responsibility for any defect of a property as it is within the sole control of the owner, Country Idyll inspect and advise owners on an ongoing basis regarding any maintenance issues and cannot authorise major maintenance without the owners prior authority.
